HUNTER MALAYALI SAMAJAM
A vibrant meeting point for Malayalis in Newcastle and the Greater Hunter – celebrating Kerala’s culture, building friendships and supporting each other since 2012.
Who we are
The Malayali community in the Newcastle region began as a small, informal group — gathering during Onam and Christmas to celebrate and cherish the rich memories of our home state, Kerala.
In 2012, we proudly adopted the name “Humsam”, a beautiful abbreviation of Hunter Malayali Samajam, and registered as an incorporated, not-for-profit association with the NSW Department of Fair Trading.
